A mum, Veronica Panarello, bagged a 30-year jail term for killing her son due to the fact that he found out that she was having a sexual relationship with his grandfather.
Veronica Panarello choked her son, Loris Stival ,to death with a cord carrying electricity and then neglected his body in a faraway gutter in Santa Croce, Sicely as Metro Uk reported
She then later lied to the police that the boy had been kidnapped.
She told the police that she took Strival to school and by the time she went back to his school to get him in the afternoon, she searched everywhere in the school but couldn't find him.
However, in the process of investigations, the police checked the CCTV footage and they discovered that Veronica lied and had not dropped him off at school that day.
Prosecutors stamped her as an 'egocentric, manipulative liar'
She also kept the blame on the father of her husband as she made a confession that her son had been killed back in 2014.
She told an earlier hearing in Court that he had assisted to carry out the killing because her late son Loris had caught them having sex.
The grandfather is being investigated and questioned about his involvement in the killing of the his 8-year old son.
However, the grand-father has denied the allegation and is therefore threatening to sue his daughter-in-law for slander.
Veronica's husband has since filed for a divorce .
